Meet Tamira Swanson – The Heart Behind Swans Radiant Wigs

Hi, I’m Tamira Swanson, the proud owner of Swans Radiant Wigs and someone who knows firsthand what it means to turn fear into confidence. For years, people told me I had a special talent for making wigs, but I let doubt hold me back. It wasn’t until I decided to take a leap of faith and hours of dedication that I began to truly believe in my craft.

I’m completely self-taught, starting from the early days of YouTube when tutorials were rare, and handmade wigs were just gaining momentum. I began by creating wigs by hand, without ever touching a sewing machine. Many nights, I stayed up late, determined to teach myself every stitch, track, and technique. It wasn’t easy, but I fell in love with the process.

After 22 years in the railroad industry and earning an engineering degree, I took an early retirement to follow my passion full-time. Swans Radiant Wigs is a brand built on hard work, authenticity, and a love for making people feel beautiful, confident, and radiant.  Now, I get to share that love with you!
